While it's hardly the worst example, and the thread seems to be doing fine, I believe it still falls under the catagory of Copy and Paste spam. You can't just post a link to an article and give a summary and wait for responses.

Just wondering, when Dakini said Jesus did not exist, did he in any way attempt to or actually back up his claim. While the debate rages on if Jesus was in fact the son of god or some sort of Messiah among the different religions, most, along with most historians, tend to agree that a man named Jesus did exist and that he was put to death in a way similar to that described in the bible (minus the god-stuff).
My point is, if Dakini tried to defend his opinion in a civilized and educated manenr, right or wrong regardless, its really not trolling. However, if he merely flaunted Scientology (...no comment...) theology while rambling on about how Jesus isn't real, then yes, that could be seen as trolling.
As per Ocean Drive, while what he's been saying could be interpreted perhaps as flamebait, in my opinion, it doesn't seem that bad. Lawyers often time tell the jury what the other side is "trying to get them to think." Ocean Drive could be using a similar tactic to try to get other posters to agree with him and support him in the arguement, or he could just be making fun of Dakini.
Lastly, as [NS]Simonist said, the whole "well he did it too" defense is probably one of the weakest, if not an admission of guilt in itself. It's also immature, trying to bring others down with you. If you did something considered wrong, either man up to it or fight it...don't try to drag others into the middle of the situation.
Regardless, I'm sure a mod will come along shortly and sort this out. Just giving some food for thought.
As always,

The fact that non-mods are attempting to help keep order has nothing to do with whether or not they "want" to be a mod. Furthermore, their "want" to be a mod has nothing to do with whether or not they ever will be -- I daresay it'd be a foolish endeavor for somebody who strives for that to be given those powers.
Perhaps you should consider adhering to the site rules instead of lashing out, no matter how mildly, every time somebody reports your actions. Helping the mods keep on top of the THOUSANDS of things they have to do is hardly something to be ridiculed for. What Steel did is no worse than the report that Dakini made (and I contributed to) earlier. If a moderator should find you in error, take it as a learning opportunity -- until then, you're not making yourself appear all that innocent.

Obviously you know little about who the mods are and how they select people. I'd like to point you to this thread for reference: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=438230 and just give you my personal assurance that I will most likely never be a mod. Not that I'd be opposed to it...but just...take my word on it...
