However, that doesn't change the title that appears on the forum list - which is what I want changed. See here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=438203), under the "Title Change" section under the "Thread Change" section.

I believe the window of opportunity on that ability is limited to the first 2 or 3 minutes of the thread's existance. After that, your edits only affect the subhead in the first post. I could be wrong, though, as mods have the permanent ability to edit them, and I don't feel like creating spam threads with a puppet to verify.
