I recently created a new nation, Equalitonia, and made it my Main nation. I then accepted UN membership. However, I suddenly remembered one of my puppets was in the UN, so I resigned from the puppet. I was multi-ing (by accident) for 2 minutes, by the server clock.

My question is, is this the sort of thing that would get me punished if found out by a mod?

If you did it by accident, and realised what you were doing and rectified the situation quickly, there should be no problem.

It's when you continue with many UN nations, deviously using separate e-mail addresses that you get into trouble.

You're ok. Just, for future reference -- it's better to resign one and then accept the membership for the replacement nation 24 hrs later to avoid confusion.
