Confused
[NS]Desperate Measures

I'm confused about why I can't post messages and why there is [NS] in front of my name. I tried to look up the problem myself but cannot find any information on it. If I've been banned for some reason, well... ok. But I'd like to not be confused about it.
Edit: errr... now I can post but I still have NS before my name. I hope this isn't some obviously simplistic reason...

A few things.
The NS in front of your name means that you are associated with NationStates. It also lets you know that someone else on the Jolt network has a username called "Desperate Measures" so the NS is put in front of it to distinguish between your nation and that user.

Ah. That clears up a lot. Thanks. Could it be that its confused by me if I use two different computers (home and work) with the same name?

Unless you tried to make the same username from both computers then yes.
But if you didn't create the orriginal Desperate Measures username and you just created the NS Nation with that name, then no.

You've been a great help. Thank you.

It's most likely a minor bork in the Jolt / NS interface. Salusa can usually fix those, but he's away for the holiday. Bump this again Monday, and I'll see he hears about it.
