There wasn't any attempt at a discussion by the thread creator, as well as the poll being pretty inappropriate, especially for such a touchy subject. I'd suggest that someone in that thread create a new thread and attempt to make some sort of discussion about it.

You seemed to have missed the fact that another thread could be started for it at anytime. The subject matter is a legitimate discussion.
Thread starters have to at least make an attempt at discussion, rather than posting one sentence and expecting people to start a discussion from it. If you want to start another thread for it, go for it, but at least add a little more worth to it.
