Could I be an Administrative Demon? (Could I be a Mod)
Can anyone become a Mod?
If so, how?

Primarily, you will need to construct some form of temporal manipulation technology in order to go backwards in time and stop yourself from asking.
Secondly, you have to ask yourself -- why do you want to be a moderator? They don't get paid, and they have to deal with the worst this forum has to offer, on a daily basis, in vast quantities, as well as dealing with people whining here, AND they don't get thanked for it! What possible motivation could there be for you? No, seriously, I'm interested.

Power, social status, you name it. That and fancy avatars and extra long pre-titles (and an extra big TGbox)

Although I suppose if you paid the mods enough.... :D
((Think about it this way...as they spend so much time moderating these forums, a lot of the mods are probably unemployed and/or looking for jobs...You can employ a Mod to serve as, say, the technical administrator/programmer/whatever for your new lab/computer designing company, and out of gratitude they'd give you the avatar, social status, etc.
....No? :(
Well, it was just a suggestion...))

Temporal manipulation might not be necessary, posts are purged after, I think, 18-24 months, by which time, if you contribute a lot of advice, someone may nominate you for modness.
As for me... I don't want to be the guy who gets cursed, threatened, or insulted (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Hogsweat_deletion_controversy) every time somebody makes a mistake. But if you want the power fix and don't mind the hate, or simply want to make NS better, do go for it.

I seem to remember the purging stopped after the move to jolt.
gotta love how this thread is just the one below the "[mods],plus how to become one" thread.
