nope. no complaints here. ;)
Just wondering how the conversation took a turn for the worse, or was it a comment in a now-deleted post that caused the thread to be locked?

I dont -quite- understand why you're asking. The general nature of the thread is bad enough to warrent a locking. You dont consider any of those Obscene?
Obscene and Explicit content: Sexually graphic images and posts. Very strictly forbidden. Obscene imagery and content in the forums should be reported to the Moderation Forum. Please provide a link to the topic, but do not quote it while explaining its illegality. Then we have to find and delete your posts too.

The question he presented was a perfectly legitimate one with a logical and reasonable explanation. Do you lock the thread and punish the poster because the first couple of responses amounted to adolescent tripe? Would it not be better to make the offending party the one responsible for their own actions?

The question itself was legitimate; however, we have always locked threads or sent them to spam if they either become off topic or they become obscene, to the point of the conversation not continuing any longer. It's unfortunate for the original poster, however, it's what needs to be done.
