Precarious situation

I have a nation in Holy Land named Devils Advocate. I staged a benign coup on the region, meaning only to take the region for one day.

During that one day, numerous nations appeared to offer their support of my coup, and I have found myself called upon to mount a resistance to the previous leadership.

It is important to note here that one player of that leadership has been thrown out of the UN and had at least five nations deleted over his behavior during this power struggle. (dont know if i should name names here or not).

I am currently in negotiations with the Delegate who I usurped to come to terms on how the region will continue. We both have similar goals when it comes to our vision for the region. I am hoping since the difficult player is gone, this can be worked out.

In order to do this, I have set elections to begin on Tuesday (tomorrow). I have defined natives in the region as those who resided there on Friday, Nov 5, which dates before I brought in anyone to begin my coup. At the time, Claw the Cat and Devils Advocate were both endorsing each other.

I sincerely want a fair election by the natives, minus any influence of invader or defender nations that arrived after the struggle began. Something like 30 nations have come and stayed in the last two days.

Here's my problem: to enforce the rule of only natives endorsing the Delegate, it may be necessary for me to surpass the standard 10% ejection rule. I will also need a definitive list of all nations present in the region as of the update Saturday morning.

Because this situation is so complicated, and because I want to have fair elections, I am asking for the Mods to help me monitor the election, by telling me if my plans are within the rules according to this particular set of circumstances.

In the end, if Claw the Cat and I can negotiate successfully, the outcome of the election will not matter. But it is in the best interest of all the natives of Holy Land if the respective defenders stay out of it.

Thank any and all of you who have been helping in this long, involved process.

EDIT: the problem seems to have been resolved by successful negotiations with Claw the Cat. There will be no need for Moderator help at this point.

I apologize for walking the rules line too closely. I have always tried to stay on the right side of the NS law. Sometimes not so successfully. I am happy to say that this incident has worked itself out.

I believe the 10% only applies to natives. I could be wrong.

Well then, it seems we're done here. iLock.
