Handled, but not answered.

I apreciate that the matter I raised in Moderation (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=451411) was dealt with (Thanks Euroslavia), but might I respectfully ask what the ruling was? My objection was as a parent and the content people offer here, and I would still like to know the basic answer: Was that permitted behaviour or not?

I don't much care how it was dealt with, nor was I pushing for Sierra's deletion or anything as I reiterated several times. And if the answer was "Not permitted so please don't do it again" to Sierra then that's fine. If the answer was "it IS permitted" then I'm not upset, I just now know that I should add this site to my filter to keep my child from accessing it.

I just think that a question on rules interpretation deserves an open answer so as all of us have a better understanding of them in order that we can follow them.

Was that permitted behaviour or not?
No. This behavior is not permitted. Sierra has received a just punishment for his/her actions.

I had the same question. Thank you for answering.

Thank you for the clarification and your work on resolving this issue. I know that it was probably a difficult one to come to a decision on.

I know that it was probably a difficult one to come to a decision on.
Frequently, the difficulty comes from trying to get a consensus from several mods when all of us have busy schedules. The decision itself was obvious on the face of it, but getting the language in place and presenting it properly took a while.

This isn't life-or-death, folks. It's an internet forum. If we let something sit for a few days, it's not gonna kill ya.

To be fair, I don't think anyone was impatient. It was fairly obvious that while that it needed to be dealt with might have been obvious, actually deciding how to handle it would be a task. The bumps were just to keep it on the same page and the new thread was just to find out if it was against policy (which we assumed but wanted to be sure). There may be a select few that feel ignored if you don't answer right now, but the majority of the posters realize how difficult your jobs are and, on some level (yeah, let's call it that), appreciate the results of your efforts.

Anyway, thanks, Fris, Euro.
