Seems to be thumbing his nose at the mods

Let me give some background.

GMC gave out a forumban for what would have amounted to mild flames except they were REGULARLY repeated in lieu of an argument. He constantly called people stupid and suggested they had no reading comprehension. Eventually, a forumban was earned.

Enter BAAWA -

So he is aware that GMC found such behavior to be unacceptable and has openly rejected the belief that is unacceptable. More evidence here -

However, he generally keeps his points civil... at this point.

The problem is he eventually resorted to the same tactics as Brenchley, the same tactics that were discussed with a mod in the thread and that BAAWA openly rejects (at least he's consistent).

Now admittedly these are mild, in fact I've said things in the thread that are equally agressive, but when I did it, it was part of a point and not the whole point as it was with Brenchley and now BAAWA. He even followed into a spinoff thread and engaged in these tactics. An odd choice since it can be objectively demonstrated that I am not misrepresenting anything.

Now, I'm not going to pretend that I've never said anything that might offend people. I also admit that I thought GMC was a little harsh on Brenchley. My problem here is that GMC clearly explained why he banned Brenchley and why it was unacceptable and BAAWA basically said I don't agree and then demonstrated that he believes he should be permitted to behave in EXACTLY the way that got Brenchley banned.

I'd also point out that he can be seen baiting Lyric by calling her a liar, a dictator and a thief before she finally blows up (there is a moderation thread about this), so it is hardly isolated.

As a caveat, if you feel that any of my actions in these threads were inappropriate I'm happy to change my behavior after an official OR unofficial notice that my behavior needs adjustment.

Wow, that post was a lot of work. Thank you. I wasn't going to say anything until I saw what he was doing to Lyric. Lyric is responsible for her actions as am I, but he was clearly taunting her.

Lyric was given a nudge in another thread about her temper, and I do believe that you've already learned your lesson on knowing that some of your responses weren't the best, hence why I didn't comment on yours.

I think most of the time the best defense of your argument is to show you actually believe in it by remaining calm. It's amazing how after encountering several people in a number of different threads who are clearly ignoring all your points, you manage to throw your whole philosophy out the window and just get annoyed. I do generally catch myself before it gets out of control. I even apologize on occasion. Like I'm really sorry about that time I called you a... nevermind, but I'm really sorry about it.
