I wouldn't consider it a Flame or Flamebait.

The guy is stating an oppinion, and he didn't say anything like "your a goddamn (insert word here)". I personally think it is borderline at the least.

I personally think that taking issue with someone's self-righteousness and irritating habit of seeking to impose their own narrowly defined rules of engagement on others is pefectly valid - but it's your decision guys.

It's not like this poster hasn't been up to this kind of thing before. I would like to suggest that they are guilty of deliberately provoking a heated response from others by seeking to strike off possible lines of attack prior to the commencement of the debate.

Maybe it woulda been handy to ask first, then state (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9838052&postcount=112) that it is?:p

Thats what i'm talking about. He asks the mods but then posts that it is flame in his thread. The Mods define what are flames and flamebait.

LOL! Oh BROTHER! ROFLMAO! Nice try, but no cigar.

The post to which you gave that flaming response seemed very reasonable to me. You just seem to have over-reacted to something to which you take extreme exception.

I don't see any of the posts as clear-cut flaming/baiting. Avalon II, the fact that you said that people couldn't debate the validity in your first post brought out a bad reaction. In short, by posting that, you've brought that upon yourself, in a way, because you're automatically assuming something in which not everyone believes is the truth.

Edit: But just for good measures... http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9839544&postcount=217

The point of the debate was that it was defined within the Christian idea. In otherwords, for Christians is it right to hate homosexuals becasue homosexual sex is a sin. Now obviously, within that kind of debate its stupid to say "no because the Bible is rubbish" because thats what Christianity is based upon

No, it isn't, because not everyone believes that the Bible is completely true. Even a few Christians I know question the words in the Bible, but that doesn't matter. Telling people that they have to agree with the Bible, in the debate, isn't a way to start it off, because not everyone here is Christian.
