House Of Cards question

This was kind of answered in another thread, but not really.
If I proposed a legal aid law, and had the phrase "those who are entitled to legal aid are those who are covered by The Universal Bill Of Rights" in it, would that be in violation? (On the assumption that if the UBR is repealed, the legal aid resolution becomes invalid cause no one is covered any more)
And - further to that - if I propose repealing "Outlaw Pedophillia" because "it is rendered redundant by the Child Protection Act" (using those words exactly), would that be illegal, since if the CPA is repealed, the basis of this repeal is now invalid?
Or is House of Cards not what (some) people make it out to be?

On the second one, we have a repeal at vote whose legality, albeit on a different matter, was scrutinised, that refers to redundancy, so one can only assume your second idea would be legal.

When I was last here (which, I admit, was a few good months ago) The House Of Cards arguement didn't exist, or if it did it was never used.
But now I submit one proposal with one reference and someone yelled at me (some non-moderator I might add, not someone with power)
So mostly I was just curious how the House of Cards arguement applies to repeals - if (for example) you wanted to repeal Outlaw Pedophillia and quoted several other resolutions to back your case up, would that be an illegal repeal?
And how many does it take to go from not illegal to illegal?
(I know - there are probably no hard and fast rules, so that it's a judgement call (grin))

This is probably the other post you were referring to:I can't speak for the other game mods, but I can't remember ever removing a resolution just for "House of Cards". The only time it really comes into play is when somebody uses an entire shopping list of prior resolutions as a foundation. More often, I'll remove proposals with references to single prior resolutions only if they are clearly trying to amend the prior work.
Be picky. Give good feedback. Just don't grasp at straws to find illegalities, because the mods don't.
Quoting multiple passed resolutions in repeals is fine. The only thing a repeal does is remove a single passed resolution, so there is no danger of any additional effect.
Gruenberg's point is somewhat valid, but anything *that* dependent on another resolution would probably be nuked as an amendment.

Right. Obviously, I wasn't attempting to speak for every possible wording. Thank you for the clarification.
