The original poster begins this thread with a long series of quotes by Republicans about perjury, but refuses to relate them to anything. Apparently, he believes that everyone on here is possessed of the same anti-Republican animus which somehow enables him to guage those fine distinctions which render quotations by Republicans hilariously contradictory. I, for one, fail to see the humor:

Just because you disagree and do not find it funny does not make it spam.

Well, if he'd just come out and say what he was talking about, that would make things nice and level (for me anyway).
Otherwise, Isn't he violating the thingy about News without commentary?

Uh ... how can I "find it funny" when he never says what it's suppose to be funny about??? I don't even know if I "disagree" with it because there doesn't seem to be anything to disagree about!!

It's not spam, anyone who's been paying attention to the possible indictment of a few in the Republican party knows exactly what the thread is about. It's not rocket science. Further, the Republicans have already started to circle the wagons saying that lying about it is not a serious offense, therefore, very relevant to ongoing political happenings this week. I really don't understand how this thread could be viewed as spam.

It certainly wouldn't hurt for the originator of the thread to put something in there stating the intention, but I have to say I found the intent of the thread fairly obvious and it appears almost everyone in the thread did also. The originator makes a fairly substantial point whether you agree with it or not. S/he didn't post a big long prewritten article from some other source. S/he searched and posted a bunch of quotes of Republicans regarding their views on lying as they held them in '99. The relevance to current happenings is obvious.

Yes, I think the OP makes it abundantly clear what discussion they are attempting to generate.

and no, the thread is not spam. I would prefer if he would have posted sources for what he typed up, but nevertheless, it's developed into a decent debate. It will remain open.
