Do people deliberately ignore the sticky or is it just my imagination?

The sticky has 209 views. I've seen a couple of others too, but it has slowed down a bit. It took a while for General to get used to the idea that no, really, posting 'Ask a...' threads was not a good idea, so I suppose we have to expect a little breathing space for II too.

Removed.
Yeah, CURSES upon myself for not seeing a new sticky after having not needed to pay attention for so long. For the most part, I'd always treated the stickies as 'places to look when in doubt'. Was only once in a blue moon that I started seeing forum rules naysays, and truth be told it never applied to me before.
Until now.
Hooray, my first ever thread deletion I think!
Oh well.

At least look at the titles of a sticky. That should have given you a hint, when you created the thread in the first place.
"Hmm...the title says something about "Ask About 'Nation Name'" threads...', perhaps I should check it out, seeing as what I'm posting is essentially the same thing?" is what I hope goes through peoples' minds when thinking about making a thread for it.
Well...now you know. When there's a new sticky, read it.
Either that or a big fat ANNOUNCEMENT tag in front of it would help. People tend to notice caps. And with rule changes, I should think y'all would want to be noticed.
I don't even read the sticky titles. Like I said, I just treat the entire section as "Don't give a flying flip about content unless a specific question needs answering" as that is, to my knowledge, what they have always been for. Heck, most of the time I don't even pay attention to thread titles at all unless they are of direct concern to me, either through postings by allied nations or threads with (ATTN GODULAR) tacked at the end.
Of course, I don't care enough to do otherwise. Its like getting hit with a speeding ticket because I didn't spot the sign showing that the speed limit went down. I'll remember it later, mostly due to the 'D'OH!' factor, but I'm not gonna change my driving style over it.
My mistake, oops. I'll live.
Oh, and I guess that answer's Sarzonia's initial question.
Yes, I DO deliberately ignore the stickies! At least only when it looks like 'just another sticky' anyway.

Not our fault you didn't read the stickies. That's what they're there for. Claiming that 'you didn't read them' doesn't exactly help you. Perhaps now, you'll know to at least check them out? Either way, case closed.
