Threat

I and my associates have recieved numerous threats from a nation called
-Red- and his region The Republican Brotherhood, following my retaking of a region that I founded, I agree that I had left the region before hand, but when they invaded I felt that something had to be done. I now control the region UNFR but there are still numerous members of the invader army in the region, they have sent telegrams to myself and other friend of mine that have messages to the effect of:

"We will be watching you." or "wrong decision, do you know the penalty for treason?

RED" or "We will retake this region and have our revenge."

It appears that they are a little upset that I wanted my region back, other threats include postings saying things like "Run and Hide" and though they can't really do much these are pretty violent threats. I have sent no offencive language or messages back personally, and have laughed at many of the threats, but my friend within the region are very upset by them.

Well they can't invade your region anyways (if u ban them), just ignore them. They'll get bored and won't bug you again. But since those TG are a combination of threats and pointless spams, you have a right to take action (I mean complain to the mods or "getting help" and not respond to TGs).

If they're harrassing players in-game, then this probably isn't the best advice. Given the complexities of regional politics, I feel we should leave this one to the mods.

You are the founder. You can eject-and-ban anyone you like, without repercussion from us.

If any of the invaders go beyond roleplaying the invasion and begin any harrassment towards you or any of your regonmates, report them via Getting Help. Be sure to save telegrams and/or use the Regional Messageboard capture checkbox to preserve evidence.

Invaders whining about losing a region with a live founder? What is the world coming to?

how dumb can you get?

Like frisbee said, if they get beyond harassing (un multying, hacking, other similar things) then report it and they will be dealt with by higher powers

Becareful what you say in the Mod Forum. I, for one didn't know that either (then again, I'm not regional Delegate or founder either.)

Like frisbee said, <snip>
My posts have that big "Moderator" stamp on them. They don't need amplification in the very next post.

That's two posts of yours I've had to comment on in the last 10 minutes. Knock off these spammy and misleading posts in the Moderation forum.

Really? I've been in a region where the founder has banned people on suspicion or no verifiable evidence whatsoever, ejecting the delegate after s/he disagreed with him as well as suspected spies and even people who had never had any intention of "spying" or "invading". I was one victim. I thought, "this can't be legal", but founder griefing appears to be not only all right, but common. Is there something you can do to limit Founder power?

How can it be griefing? The founder is the one who created the region, and they are allowed to administrate it as they see fit.

I think of it like this. Founders in effect "own" their region. They created it, they can destroy it. :p If you don't like how the founder is running the region you're in, you have the option to create your own region to run.

wasn't there a thread here in moderation some time ago when a delegate was warned for ejecting players and banning them from the region?

Delegates are not founders. Two totally separate rulesets.

What about in the case of the Delegate assuming Regional control when the Founder's nation is deleted through inactivity?

I was threatened to be ousted over a petty disagreement the other day, which is the real reason I'm asking. Does the Delegate, in that case, take over all the power and responsibility of the Founder in terms of regional upkeep, and are they allowed to kick other nations out?

No. Delegates are not founders. The only time Delegates are Founders is when the Founder runs for and is elected Delegate. Also, foundership resides with the nation, not the player. No matter how many people in the region are 'cool with it', a founder's puppet cannot act as founder, cannot eject nations as if it were the founder, cannot clear spam as if it were the founder, etc., etc.

Delegates have a more limited ability to kick nations, password the region, and do other regional maintenence things. It makes a difference whether it's an internally elected (native) delegate or an Invader (externally elected) delgate. Those rules are covered in the Invasion Rules thread in Gameplay. (There's a link in the One-Stop Rules Shop).

Delegates are not Founders. Not ever.

Thanks for the advice, if they continue I'll tell the mods.
