It has gone way off topic. Please lock it before it devolves any further.

Please give the MODs time to read your thread over before you bump the thread 27 minutes later. They have to make a judgement and possibly hand out warnings and/or bans.

I was under the assumption that when a threads starter puts in a request for a lock there is no judging, they do it out of courtesy. And since there are only 13 or so threads in moderation now with only 4 or so active I don't think trying to expedite the process. Especially since they already locked one...

If you have access to IRC, you can sometimes get these sorts of requests dealt with more rapidly in #themodcave on esper.net.
In general, though, the mods don't have great amounts of time each day to deal with forum requests. I'm sure they'll get round to it: who knows? Maybe if you're a bit more understanding in the future, they will be too.

Nope. That rule only applies to roleplay forums.
There are one or two spam posts in there, pretty low response for a General thread, actually. The rest is mostly a conversation about party platform between you and Call to Power. I see no reason to close it, apart from the fact that you've lost interest in the argument.

We'd really rather people didn't suggest IRC for these purposes. #themodcave is for emergency stuff primarily - somebody slam-spamming porn, or griefings in progress, that sort of thing. Other times it's for necessarily long conversations to straighten out a ruling or something. That's why we keep it open.
Don't come to IRC for casual thread closures or stuff that has no time pressure. We'd really prefer that nation restorations go through the Getting Help page too. We'll get to everything.
Turnaround time on both forums and tasks has been well under 12 hours average for several months now. There's no need for more haste than that.
