That poster has been known to be extremely sarcastic and humorous. I wouldn't take offense to it, because in my opinion, its just meant to be a joke.

Insults disguised as humour, or the other way around? The comment about Kanabia's mother was uncalled for, as is the going on about gays being rapists.

Just to be clear, I didn't say that gays are rapists. I was making a point that no one wants to be raped, gay or otherwise, in the same way that no one wants to be murdered. However, banning replica guns and pocket knives makes as much sense as a response to murder as to ban Homosexual Intercourse as a response to Homosexual Forced Intercourse.
On the other hand, if I was warned for the "your mom" line, then my only defense is that I though that "your mom" had lost all the sting it might have had when the first elementary schooler used it.

Just a note, your 'warning' was unofficial, and has no bearing on anything in the future, except that you should just be a little more careful on what you post. I realize you didn't want to say those sort of things, but it came across that way.

I also try to be funny, but sometimes my jokes aren't received as jokes. when I'm made aware that it hasn't, I give a sincere apology and avoid making such jokes for a while.

Most people are understanding when they realize you were not trying to be purposely hurtful. :)

I have discovered the same problem both on NS and in real life. Sometimes it's that people don't have a sense of humor and sometimes jokes are just so dry that people have difficulty swallowing them.

Alright now, this has been solved, so I'm locking it. Just a reminder that if you'd like to discuss humor and how people take it, do so in General.
