You were impersonating Max Barry not only in the forums, but in the game as well; further information proved that you were also sending out telegrams, presenting yourself as Max Barry. You should have known better.

OMG you cannot be serious,
it was only a joke
a simple joke
i never claimed to be the Max Barry
:( :( :(
why delete me after saying you wouldn't?
is there anyway to get my nation back?

(it was only a joke)

Joking or not, you were misrepresenting Max Barry. We have no tolerance for that. Case closed.

is there anyway i could appeal to Max himself or anyone else?

i mean all i can say is that i'm sorry
which i am
i honestly didn't think this would be a problem (if i had, i wouldn't be stupid enough to risk it)
if you had taken any other of my nations as punishment or hell all of them
all i want is I Still Like Oranges back

Make that double for impersonating the admins, and quadruple for impersonating the site owner.

once again i apologise

Might it not be an idea to add that to the OSRS under Mods as a Weapon?

i wish
i only did it to post what i posted in the conspiracy theory thread
i was gonna call it maximus barret but it was still a stupid thing to do by me
i really didn't think i was impersonating Max because i wouldn't do that, i had planned to log in occasionaly or else just leave it inactive after today but, well.... it didn't exactly go as planned :(

Yeah, come on! It was so very obvious not Max Barry, that it must have been a joke. Give him his Oranges back. Be nice. He didn't mean it that way. I think he learned his lesson now. I know that MB impersonators happen allot, but this was his first time. Not that he is some multi MB creators, like many before him. I Still like Oranges has never done any harm to me, or other people on this site. He didn't mean it that way. (Although saying that you were gonna post here with that nation, doesn't help your case)

Although I'm not a mod, I think their hands are tied. Rules are rules. If they let this one pass, then they'll have to let every other pass, which can be much worse. Imagine you recieved a TG from someone claiming to be Max, ordering you to do something. If you don't do it, faux-Max says he will DEAT you. Whilst many would see through it, many would do as they say. Which could lead to that nation being DEATed anyway, if the action ordered was illegal, and the faux-Max would just say "it was a joke" and get off. Does that seem fair?

Thank you for your support Relaxed
But the Noble Men is right i guess
True the mods say they take things on a case by case basis
But if i understand completely where they are coming from
And its not about helping my case, it was about telling the truth
If they decide to change their minds, they will
If not they won't
Simple as really
And at the moment it seems to be the second option
But thank you for your support Relaxed and your wise words the Noble Men

Yeah, but I thought that this contituted a warning and the deletion of the evil MB impersonator. Unless he already had warning outstanding, a simple deletion of the offending nation, together with a stern warning, would be just as apropriate. I would have got the message, and that is what punishments are for, right? Punishments are not meant to completely destroy the fun in the game, IMHO. I have seen a whole lot worst. Every day nations with innapropriate names are deleted. I don't think that all of them are having their main nation deleted as well.

i did not have a warning outstanding that i knew off
i actually did get the message after the stern warning they sent me a few minutes before the deletion and i was logging back in to come to here to apologise when i found out i was deleted
but they mods decision is their decision, all we can do is appeal

I have a faint memory of a nation called "I like Oranges". I am not sure though. Oh well, I believe no oranges are harmed in this process. :p

I will invite the other mods to review the request for overturning this deletion. Until then, this thread is locked.

A formal final appeal was reviewed by 4 non-involved moderators, and the decision was unanimous. Mod/Admin/Max impersonation has always been a deletion offense, and this case is not significantly different than any other.

The deletion stands.
