I would like to know why this thread was closed as well ( http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=443821&page=1&pp=15 ). There was no flaming, no flame-baiting, no trolling, no foul language, nothing, in fact, which would warrant its being locked. :confused:

At first glance, I would say that most of the posts on the second page were under a sentence long, or in some cases, less than three words.
Few of wich had anything to do with the topic.
Im betting it was locked becuase it degenerated into spam.

I am not the moderator who locked this thread, but the answer is quite simple really. The first post contained one sentence with absolutely no source of debate in it. If you're going to start a debate/discussion, put a little more effort into it, rather than one sentence.

If you would like a reply in a timely fashion, I recommend showing a bit more patience than posting again in ten minutes to urge them to reply. Mods have lives other than NS. They take care of these issues as quickly as they can, but there are TONS of them. Patience, young Jedi.

And you'd be more likely to get that answer without any venom if you were patient and polite in your request. You've been neither.
Also, I believe you got an aswer. The thread didn't appear to really be looking to spark a discussion and it didn't so they closed it. You yourself declared the thread to be finished on the first page, so why the shock?
They answered you, you just don't like the answer.

No, I don't mind. They already answered your request (I simply repeated their answer) and they are quite busy dealing with real issues that are necessary to be resolved in order to keep things running smoothly. Therefore it is in all our interests that you not harass the mods. And it would be, "you're" not a mod.
I'm certain there are plenty of threads still open that you would love to participate in so it's not as if you've been hamstringed by the mods. Go enjoy the forums and let the mods be so they can make sure that enjoying the forums is possible.

The hard part tho. is that Emotions are hard to convey through printed words. So while to you it may seem like "you're just asking" the reader may perceive a sense of anger or fustration... or even sarcasm.
I for one am also interested why several threads were locked, including the "Ahem" one. I see that the poster requsted an explination, and that too was locked. perhaps he was a Deat on sight?

I agree with you about some of the other threads. I certainly haven't heard anything about Occidio that would suggest she would become DOS, though she has had mod issues in the past (she really lit into someone for being racist one time). I'm curious about the thread and why her request for explanation was locked, but I'm not sure here is the place to ask it since the answer for this particular thread has been provided.
I liked your rule addition, by the way. I see that happen a lot and I find it frustrating as a non-mod. I imagine they find it moreso.
