(BTW, I also appreciate opinions from non-moderators ... this is not a mod only request.) :)
Tomorrow there will be debate on a new UN resolution. In the recent past we've (some UN players) been divorcing the Draft Proposal discussions from the UN resolution discussions, because the early posts of a draft proposal are often significantly different than the final version of a resolution's text. Any arguments brought up in a draft proposal can always be more concisely restated if needed.
I'd like to ask that when the new thread for tomorrow's UN debate on Solar Panels be pinned, that if the proposal's author chooses to create a new thread, that that thread ben pinned instead of any other (older) discussion on the proposal itself.
A few weeks ago I asked the author of the proposal to consider creating a poll in addition to his / her debate thread. I'm hoping to use that poll to gauge the number of absentions and color up the NSWiki entry for the resolution (this is something I've talked to Goobergunchia about online as well). This isn't a major issue / request, but it would be nice to be allowed to keep the debate to *just* the resolution text itself and to give the author a chance to also include a separate poll for post-resolution documentation purposes.
Thanks,
-Michael
