To Be a Liberal - thread was closed

I had an discussion with some people in this thread. It was not spam or flamebait, just a conflict of points of views.
Euroslavia closed the thread because the original post was flamebait (it certainly was).
Euroslavia said that more action would be taken against those who would open a similar thread.
Am I allowed to open a new thread about the discussion I was having in this thread and to make it obvious in the title (so as to get the attention of the people I was having this discussion with)?

Thanks in advance for your response, which, I hope, will be positive.

Here's a link to the thread :

I would just wish to continue my discussion and post 2 or 3 more things about what some people have said in response to my posts.

I doubt the mods will re-open a thread, especially one as volitile as that one.

Too bad, I don't think it was that volatile. Sure some people thought they were flame-baiting, but under the surface, there was some good points raised, it could have evolved into a discussion about the liberal/conservative fight and about their common ground. We could have seen the light in this thread. I was starting to discuss with other people and we agreed that there was childish attitudes on both sides. We could have raised the level of the discussion in just one or two more posts.

It's so frustrating. I wrote a lengthy and enlightening post, and I clicked the submit button, just to learn that the thread was closed and that I would be banned for openning another thread to follow up the discussion.

The whole point of the thread was to get a rise out of liberals. Any sort of "A liberal believes in this" will end up becoming a flamefest, and full of baiting because of the fact that everyone has different "liberal" beliefs. I wouldn't suggest opening another thread for it.

EDIT: You're more than welcome to discuss the views of being 'liberal' in America and a 'liberal' in Europe (and the differences), or something along those lines.
