Maybe I'm being beligerent but I see no reason to have a thread seeking information to be locked before I could even refine the initial question.
Admittedly I was out of line implying that threads might be locked because mods 'feel like it' but that was just an example, a bad one, but an example nonethe less, not meant to reflect on the mods in any way.
As Euroslavia pointed out, somethings people besides the original poster just don't need to know may cause a thread to be locked, and in some cases threads are locked for obvious reasons. But that doesn't mean you can't at least post two words, if its private, just say 'private reasons' surely it would be easier than dealing with beligerents like myself and green sun, and in the case of threads where the reason for locking may be obvious to a mod but not to the original poster (or other posters) it would save everyone involved time and unfounded anger and grief.

He's right. When the mods don't post at least a small explaination, it can cause confusion and resentment toward the moderators. When someone gets their threads locked without a stated reason, it can cause resentment and anger towards the mods. And the people in the threads are just as important as the starter, and they have a right to know what's going on. A simple one-sentence reason would be nice and would stop a lot of problems.

Furthermore, you asked a general question and were given a general answer. We are not going to dig up every thread that has been locked in the past two years just to satisfy your misplaced sense of entitlement.

Since you had received your answer, there was no need for it to stay open, Green Sun's decision to turn it into a crusade not withstanding.
