Nations struck DEAT for no apparent reason!

I have already lodged an annonymous (each time I tried to log in, my nation was struck DEAT; I've lost 3 nations this way) request to NS Moderations, but I decided to also post it here.

As title says, my main nation, Dark Celene, was struck DEAT for no apparent reason; I am pretty sure that I violated no NS rules. When I tried to log in for my secondary nations to lodge an official request to NS Moderation, these nations were struck DEAT as well.

Nations DEAT: Dark Celene, The Bright Lands, Highfolk.

Now seeing that many nations appear to be disappearing all over the NationStates (And what's this?! Are The Pacifics gone?!), I cannot help wondering if Modeartion is doing some masssive clean-out, or if NationStates are under hacker's attack? Please, tell me what in the Nine Hells is going on, and if possible, do restore the nations that we stuck DEAT!

Major glitch going on. No hackers, no sudden deletions, just some server problems. Sit on tight, and do some other online playing in the mean time :)

As posted elsewhere ...

Simple enough, people:

Don't log into your nations. Pass it on. From what I heard on the IRC channel, there's a database issue going on. Bag the hacker conspiracy - that always gets brought up any time there's a hiccup. I've faith the site is quite secure, but even the best systems have their glitches now and then. Especially one taxed so highly as the system running this game. Relax, sit tight, and I'm sure it'll all get worked out. Remember - they DO back things up.

No worries!

Remember - they DO back things up.

I really hope they do; I have a few other nations left, but those struck DEAT were my oldest, and Dark Celene is my favorite nation ever.

Of course they back things up, and frequently I would imagine. How else do you figure they've fixed things when we've had problems before?

Seriously - no worries. Aside from some temporary inconvenience and irritation on the parts of players and admins alike, it'll all be good. Just give 'em time to fix whatever's wrong.

And remember that they too have lives, and can't be here 24/7 just for our amusement, whether we'd like them to be or not. ;) It might take a while, but I'm sure they'll have things back to relative normalcy, no prob.

They back it up every night don't they? So that means only loosing several hours or so.

Please people, check the announcement! We are aware of the problem, and as soon as we can get in touch with [violet] or Salusa (or even Max, if we have to!), things should be fine. In the meantime, please don't login to your nations.

And remember the wisest words ever printed, in bold, friendly letters:

DON'T PANIC!
