Are links in signatures forbidden? I have in mine a link to my region, if that is not good, I'll remove it.

Signatures aren't included in the list of places where you can place ads in the Gameplay list of Forbidden Actions. I can't believe it's prohibited, though, and I've certainly never seen it enforced. There's no mention of it in the Forum guidelines on Signatures. I thus doubt it is a problem as it doesn't seem to be banned anywhere. But, I'm not a mod, so you had better hang on for an official opinion.

I would say, unless overruled: a link to your region or your nation's page in your sig is not illegal. HOWEVER, linking to a site where you stand to benefit from people's clicking through (referral links, advertising links) would be verboten.
You MAY also post one ad per 24 hour period in the feeder regions ONLY.
Player created regions may not have recruitment ads placed in them UNLESS the founder or delegate gives explicit permission, either through the World Factbook Entry itself or directly to the nation asking if it may place an ad.
