I'm not a mod, but that doesn't look like flaming to me. Maybe a mild flamebait, but I don't think it's any worse than what you posted as post #2 in that thread.

It's not even that. Eutrusca is a self proclaimed centrist, yet keeps giving right wing views. What does he expect people to say? I don't care that he's a right winger, but at least be honest about it. I think a lot of people are just getting tired of seeing the many faces of Eutrusca. I dunno maybe it's mild flamebait, but actionable? :confused:

Posting "Look! The "Centrist" speaks!!" is bringing the point into a thread where it's not really on-topic and it carries the tone-of-voice of a taunt, which can be construed as a (mild) form of malice. It's not quite actionable, but it is not encouraged.

I also note that Euroslavia hasn't actually taken official action against anyone (and by this I refer to official warnings), but he has asked for an adjustment of behavior.

Only reason I decided that this case was different from the others is the fact that I've seen "Look, the Centrist speaks" on many occasions, and its getting old. Normally, I wouldn't really respond to something like that, but when its constantly repeated, without adding any sort of debate to the discussion in the thread (in the same post), its people going out of their way to insult Eutrusca.

If you have a problem with what political label a player uses for himself/herself, then I think it would be appropriate to start a separate topic to civilly challenge that label.I don't know if I agree with starting an entire thread devoted to Eutrusca's personal labelling of his political beliefs. That smacks of singling him out and it has potential to lead to flamebaits or flaming.

If Potaria had taken the opportunity to write a civil post in response to Eutrusca in which he/she questions whether or not Eutrusca really is a centrist based on that and other statements he's made about his political views, I think that would pass muster. However, starting entire threads devoted to another player's political views doesn't seem to be kosher in my non-mod book.
