I fully agree. Even thouigh I know that the mods doesn't care too much about RPs, this is getting out of line. It provides no contribution to the RP, and only serves as an irritating clutter. I think it's on the borderline of semi-spam, to admit quite frankly.

If you use it very occasionally as humour that does not disrupt someone else's RP, that's fine; but otherwise, it's also annoying to those who wants to read and follow along the RP as well.

Thanks. The form reply thing was just getting old and spammy.

Actually, they are. They're spam, and there was one once floating around on NationStates that was nothing but a checklist of flames. This looks very similar to me.

Actually, it is making a mockery of the whole RP thing. If I got replies like that, I would quit the whole thread.

Just my two cents.

Yeah, there was that form reply used by a certain individual in General, but that was a long time ago and it was even worse than the forms in this case.

Forgive my ignorance...

but what exactly is a 'form reply'?

Is that one of those blanket type posts where you have like 60 quotes in it with one or two of your lines inbetween?

but what exactly is a 'form reply'?Check the link in the first post of this thread for several examples.

EDIT: I see they've been deleted. Essentially, someone created a series of "answers" in a so-called form letter where the "response" of the player's national government was contained in the checked answers.

A form reply:

[x] generally looks like this
[ ] is funny
[x] is annoying
[ ] has any sort of value as a post.

PS - please don't interpret this as form reply-type thingy: I was just doing a demonstration as someone asked what it was.
