Trolling, spam?

Could a mod please clarify whether or not the off-topic (or that's how I see them) comments in a thread about 'feminist views on kilts' are trolling, spaming and or flame bait?

Prior to a poster using the thread to criticise all feminists without mentioning a thing about kilts, the thread had stuck pretty much on topic and everyone seemed quite happy.

this post seems to me to be flamebait directed at myself, because I suggested that the earlier comments were not on-topic, likely to be offensive (gvien the off-topicness) and likely to provoke angry responses (i.e. trolling).

Perhaps I have misinterpreted the rules, but I would have thought hate rants about special interest groups in a topic that is only indirectly related (the thread is about kilts and whether they are sexist, not about feminists per say), is unnecessary and likely to result in flaming of some kind.

I also see the this as flamebaiting. Surely the point of having a seperate moderation forum is to prevent players baiting each other in the thread. I cannot believe that the comments were not posted as a dig, with the intention of getting an angry (and possibly rule breaking) response.

Protip: Flaming someone in moderation = bad idea.
