No, I'm annoyed by spam that would see you banned on most forums. I'malso annoyed by your 'centrism' and the vague suspicion you aren't who you say you are (chalk it up to bad experience maybe but I don't trust self-proclaimed 'experts' a lot).

See? This is the sort of thing that makes me wonder what this poster is up to. Not since I began posting on NS General have I ever proclaimed myself to be an "expert" in anything. As to whether I am who I say I am, that is for you to decide based on your paranoia.

I'd suggest that you keep your political accusations out of Moderation. This isn't the place for it.

I know he is just getting off cigarettes, and such, but he shouldnt be taking it out on forum members. His comments are quite obviously going to attract a lot of fighting/flaming.

This is no precedent. It's long-standing policy that moderators evaluate the possible 'tone' of a post to the best of their ability, and we frequently ignore quasi-insulting posts that appear to be humorous, satirical, or otherwise designed to be other than flames or flamebait. There is also a long-established precedent that simply putting a :p or ("just kidding") next to an obvious flame does not automatically make it "tongue-in-cheek".

Don't look for a blanket permission to flame from this. It ain't gonna happen. We will continue to moderate the forums based on our best judgement, which is why [violet] 'hired' us.
