If you use a network, that means all of you show up as the same IP. This means that the mods have no way of verifying what you say as true, and thus, the ban stays in effect.

If you were all in the UN, and you're all using the same computer, then you're not going to be reinstated.

You've been told the rules by a fellow player (Lord-General Drasche); you've been given a link by a moderator (me) to the pertinent guidelines written by the site admin, and you admit yourself that more than one person has had a UN nation on your computer.

Given that alone, there is nothing to appeal. You have no case. I am not the moderator that ruled on this originally.

then why say I can appeal? its pretty pointless to say "you can appeal" this if theres no way I can get an appeal. totally pointless. of course if you're four methods of detecting cheating were accurate. we wouldn't be having this discussion.

We aren't saying you can't appeal, we're saying you have absolutely no case, seeing as you've admitted to the people using your computer at having more than 1 UN nation. We can't see behind your screen to see that there are multiple people, or if its really you with multiple UN nations (not accusing of you of doing so, just showing you what its like from our point of view). Your nation will not be re-instated into the UN, guaranteed.

And we do have more than four ways to detect UN multis, all of which are very accurate.

One of the methods of detecting cheating involves checking a person's IP. An IP is a number your computer sends out, making it unique and identifiable (Unless you're on a network, and they all share the same IP).

Anyways, since you and your friends use the same computer, you have the same IP...meaning the cheat detector sees this, and "realizes" you are on the same computer..which you are. It has no way to tell that it's four different people, and thus, terminates your UN membership. As the mods said, you can appeal if you want, but all the evidence is against you.

Such a mistake would be, for example, that a Mod thought multiple UN member nations were logging in from the same computer when that wasn't actually the case.

You, however, have admitted that multiple UN nations have logged in from the same computer. Therefore, there was no mistake.

Remember, because we cannot see who is using a particular computer, the operational assumption is "One computer means one person". This will not be changed. You have admitted that one computer was involved, therefore we must assume that only one person was involved.
