I'm sorry mods, I know you've been to the thread several times already, but it's kind of gone crazy. Probably it's not getting anything done and can be locked, but of course that's your decision to make. Here are some examples.

It's starts with the usual sly bomb by Neo

That got Mesa all riled up but he stayed civil in the initial reply, but never calmed after this point.

It builds slowly and I admit I could have calmed the situation and instead made it worse. Mesa eventually stops trying to avoid flaming and flame-baiting.

Despite a lot of problems with the thread, I think that the debate can still continue on with some sort of success, as it is doing right now. Unless it becomes bogged down by more rule-breaking, I'll allow it to continue.

Thank you for your help and I agree with your assessment. It recovered almost immediately after I created this thread. Partly because when I posted this, I found a way to stop being part of the problem and put us in a position to calm down Mesa.
