I have amplied for a puppet to join the UN and resigned my primary nation. Just thought I'd let you know, because I did it in that order and it may look like a rules violation for like 8.4seconds.

umm....applying to the UN doesn't cause any multi hits...i've applied for the UN plenty of times while still having a UN badge on another nation. It's when you click the link in the email and are admitted to the UN when you need to make sure your other nation is out of the UN (and when it's safer to keep some time in between..)

... but for the most part, the mods suggest a 24 hour waiting period between resigning and rejoining, precautionary.
