Not so much spam as an annoying new set of copycat threads. My inclination is to let them play out, unless it becomes obnoxious and overflows General.
No action taken, though another mod is welcome to reconsider and overrule.

Meh. I wouldn't have reported them, either, but they all popped up one beneath the other as I was on the main page of General, so I was a bit miffed. They're gone now, so no skin off my back.
