Indeed, I belive Euro deserved it, I have seen more than one helpful topic by him when I was newer, I hope he continues to be as such now that he has become one of the chosen few!

And that doesn't even include the GM initiation rituals! (Yeah, I remember Coggy's court jester posts back when.) I thought "The Immortal Shogunate and Affiliated Territories" or "The Ordinance-Enabled Karmic Hegemony" were bad enough, but "The Incredibly Brilliant, Modalicious, and Above All, MODEST Goddess-Empress"?! In Mod's name, who thinks up these pretitles? ;) And then there are of course the signs that a new mod will be chosen:

1) Jolt starts acting up. (the time warp & profiles)

2) An old mod retires. (In this case, Myrth.)

3) I post something sensible (in this case, a religion debate).

4) My pretitle changes. (Check my nation. Link in the sig.)

5) A rule is persistently ignored. (All the off-topic threads & threads going over 2000 posts.)

...And others, but [violet] will kill me for revealing them. :D

If memory serves, that's a holdover from the beta of the move to Jolt. (Yes, the mods got to play on a Nationstates that had maybe 18 users total! And we were allowed to totally screw with our nations' stats! My population was 31.337 billion!) At the time, we could alter our forum titles, but for some reason this was removed when the move actually happened.

Congratulations Euro. It's about damn time they made you a Mod. :)
