Soooo...when did everyone in the thread get punished rule come into effect?
This never happened before. Why the sudden change in policy? I wouldn't have done it if I knew I was going to be warned as well. It used to be only the original poster was warned and that was it.

It's linked from the 'fairly obviously spam' thread below it.

Ironically, as it stands, Katganistan has posted the most times on the thread.
Wouldn't a better alternative was to use Firefox's tabs and a lot of copy and pasting? Instead of constantly bumping the thread?

Can I just add my two cents, and say I really didn't know this would happen, and I'm sorry for getting everyone in shit. It just seemed like a waste of a thread, so I reported it, but I didn't know spamming on this level was actually warnable. Still, if you're going to warn one, it only seems reasonable to do so for the others, as they weren't doing anything drastically difficult.

Well I know what I posted was wrong. But in the past no mod has ever cracked down on the posters themselves for posting in the thread. I want to know why it hasn't been enforced in the past, when did it start getting enforced, and the meaning of life. 2/3 of those questions can be answered here. Maybe the 3rd too if we're lucky.

Hmmm. Let's see. Newbie thread starter breaks a rule. A few posters try to explain why it's not allowed, but a bunch of others jump in with more of the rulebreaking bandwagon.
"Waaaah! Why are we being punished for breaking the rules when *he did it first*!!"
For Pete's sake, grow up and take your punishment. This is grade-school whining. You oughta be forumbanned for this thread, not just warned.

People who know better, and knew full well they were breaking the rules, Colodia, took part.
People who were told what they were doing was wrong continued.
You have a very selective idea of what constitutes 'everyone.' Everyone who played the spam game, posting "I win", or an 'in before the lock' or who spam whored, got warned.
You will notice there are people who posted in the thread who did not get warned, since they simply informed people they were breaking the rules.
A few posters on that thread would be wise to tread VERY CAREFULLY after this, as they have other warnings in their files.
