Sino promised an evening of racist jokes on the John Lennon hate thread. I was curious when he said he'd had ever so much fun regaling NS with racist jokes on another thread a day or so before.

He then provided a link to a closed thread, which does indeed include a plethora of unfunny racist jokes. I have no idea as to whether what sino has done is within the rules or not - but I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

I know I'd prefer it if the thread containing all the racist jokes were to be deleted as opposed to closed, but there again, I'm unsure as far as the rules are concerned.

Please advise.

I'm not all up to date with all the rules either, as many have changed since my time serving NS. However, one thing as a player does stand out for me that is perhaps not actionable, but certainly not within the rules, that being taking a thread horribly off-topic. Seems the thread was posted to discuss John Lennon's song "Imagine", thus off-topic racist jokes at least in this players opinion would not be on-topic in the thread. Surely that could at least be a reason to have said player stop racist jokes in the John Lennon thread?

Taking your own thread off-topic at the request of another poster in it isn't really actionable, and it's not like many threads in General stay on-topic for very long anyway. :D While I'm not sure, on-topicness only really seems to be enforced at the request of the other posters in a thread, unless it's a blatant attempt to pull a thread off-course rather than a slow shift in the discussion.

It's all rather acedemic, since it seems that because of his various trolling Sino's been deleted.

Ah, thank you GMC! I had not noticed that he was also the one who had started the thread.

Anyway, all moot as you say, given his lack of decorum.

My apologies for not responding sooner. Thanks for your considered answer, GMC. I also hadn't realized the thread-in-question was sino's.
