Is this post allowed? Seems to be baiting.

OceanDrive2's reply wasn't much more tactful.

Oh come on. I don't see the problem. If I had a Euro every time someone said they wanted to see Iraq / Afghanistan / Saudi Arabia / France / Israel / the Middle East turned into the world's biggest parking lot, I'd be rich enough to build my own Wal Mart franchise beside it.

As for suggesting that the locals be given notice, that's just a joke which makes the idea seem all the more absurd. If anything, OD2's response lessens any potential for offense.

I would suggest you are being over sensitive.

Just a gentle nudge, to ensure the mods have seen this...

I agree with the experienced and wise ex-Forum Moderator.
I would suggest you are being over sensitive.

Can I please get a second opinion on it, as Hack told me when I spoke to him on IRC that he felt Ihatevacations's post was not allowed.

Listen, you have been given the same message from an ex-moderator and a moderator. How many opinions do you need?

Why isn't Sanctaphrax entitled to a second opinion, Noble Men? After all, an ex-mod's opinion isn't official, no?

Ex-moderator is irrelevant. You could get half of the NS players on here to tell me it and it wouldn't be official, I asked for another *moderator* opinion. As much as I respect TG, he isn't a mod anymore.

Hack is reviewing the posts in question, please nobody respond until Hack finishes reviewing them. Thank you.

Sanctaphrax is indeed correct, in fact I was the one who told him to post here in the first place. Furthermore, it's perfectly acceptable to request a second opinion. And while an ex-Moderator is more likely to be correct in a given situation than a "baseline" player, their voice carries no more weight than any other player (no offence, TG).

All that being said, on further review, I have to concur with the aforementioned ex-Mod. When I stated that the post was unacceptable, I only had time to view the post itself, in isolation, with no context. Taking into consideration the rest of the thread, I have to say that it is no more or less unacceptable than anything else in there.

I hope that it was said with tongue firmly in cheek, otherwise it's a shocking bit of ignorance. However, being an ignorant git isn't against forum rules, so I see no need for action in this case.

Ok Hack, thanks for the review, does that also cover OceanDrive2's reply of

that would finally bring a lot of peace to the ME..

but for moral reasons..I say..we must give 3 months notice...so they have all have time to go back to East-Europe, Russia, Germany, US, EU, Africa , Asia.

...or wherever they came from.
?
Because that doesn't seem to be tongue in cheek, just wondering whether the review was only of Ihatevacations post, which may well have just been tongue in cheek, or also of this one, which doesn't seem so. If it is, it definitely isn't funny.

Again, being ignorant isn't against the rules. Also, it seems a little absurdist to take seriously.

Ok then, thanks for taking the time to review it. Much appreciated.
