Edit: He reposted it here: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=9180224#post9180224

He deleted that one, but I know the mods can look at it anyway and request they do.

He's probably deleted that one by the time this is posted.

Nothing like providing evidence against yourself. This is in reference to the one at the top.

My posts are not shining examples of forum decor, but this as a whole goes too far.

In addition, I believe that the poster in question is harassing myself and wish to know what options are available for dealing with this.

Ignore list works very well. ;) (But if you do, be sure not to mention the person in question is on your ignore list, or it's "flamebaiting". Just a helpful tip.)

Unfortunately, the forums are making it impossible for me to check your links - this damnable problem is most annoying. I'll keep trying. But as "The Great Sixth Reich" said, the ignore feature is a very useful little thing - you may wish to use it.

Believe it or not, but I've actually been told the opposite on that, having actually reported a person for flamebaiting when they had me on ignore and mentioned my name. The results of that series of events are now infamous on the mod forum.

Edit:

Tsaraine, it's the stickied resolution topic in the UN forum. Post numbers match up with those in the links mostly. The deleted one by the troll is between posts 312 and 313.

I take it it's not all in the sticky there? If not, could you point out where I can find it, please? I'm getting "database error" messages whenever I try to load a URL link, which is all very frustrating and problematic.

Going by 15 posts per page...

In AT VOTE: Nuclear Armaments [OFFICIAL DISCUSSION TOPIC]:

The deleted item and posts 314 and 315 (was 316 before a post deletion) are all on page 21. Post 129 is on page 9, while post 215 is on page 15. The repost of the deleted post is the topic you locked in the NationStates forum.

And while we're at it, I know for sure some of my comments in post 213 (page 15 as well) are not exactly appropriate. And if you are curious about what Max Barry wouldn't like that I hint at in post 218, let me know and I'll see if I can give you a hint in the clear. It's the same reason I cannot submit a UN proposal.

Let's look at how many people get strangely aggressive when talking to DLE. Now, it could be we're all bad people, and all we do is "troll" whatever that means, and just start trouble for nothing.... OR not, maybe the problem lies elsewhere, with certain players being entirely too obnoxious at all times and "flamebaiting" as you call it.

I'm not an angry person, and not an asshole. But certain actions from certain people make you lose your cool, and therein lies my fault. I don't even have to put together a list of grievances, because all you have to do is scroll every page of that thread.

In case it is forgotten, I still have the telegram that was sent and which I consider to be part of the campaign of harassment. I know I reported it via mIRC, but I shall repost it here as well.

Be a big boy and stop crying. I don't know if you know, but noone appreciates your attitude in the forums. I may have been out of line, and I admit it, you are this way at all times. I have already gotten telegrams from people of a like mind telling me not to bother with you. If only I had taken their advice, but I haven't, and I regret it all the more now. This message is me telling you that I apologize for ever having responded to anything you have written me. I won't make the mistake again.

I note that most of this harassment came long after the arguement ended, so I see no excuse for it that can be made.

What an offensive telegram! I am shocked and outraged! If someone sent that to me I would be very angry indeed. I don't know what you expect by posting it, but everything in it is true.

And I note the harassment continues even on the moderation forum, as demonstrated by the last post.

I also realized why I don't get along with you. You remind me of a younger me, and looking back, I did things that today I wish I hadn't. I guess I just wanted to change myself in a displaced way. So in a way, with confronting you I was confronting myself! But that's over. Good luck with your glorious and righteous mission. Goodbye.

DemonLordEnigma - forumbanned seven days for flamebaiting. We find you guilty of provoking the hostile response you complained about from "Esotericain", and having consulted with other Moderators more familiar with you we have discovered that this sort of agressive attitude is nothing new for you, and that you have been called to task regarding it before. It stops now.

Furthermore, in reviewing the evidence I have discovered several instances of you threatening other players with Moderator action. This is absolutely unacceptable - we are not your weapons.

Esotericain - forumbanned five days for flaming. The behaviour of "DemonLordEnigma" is no excuse for your behaviour in return, and this was clearly no offence done in the heat of the moment but one comitted under the full influence of reason.
