Finally, an intelligent question concerning the whole swastika issue rather than "why don't you allow it?" or "why would you even think of allowing it?" ...
Swastikas as a whole are not allowed on flags because most people can't tell the difference between a Buddhist swastika and a Nazi swastika. If we allow left-facing swastikas that are squarely-oriented, rather than being right-facing and sitting on one corner tilted forty-five degrees, then all the Nazis will suddenly become Buddhists that spout vile filth and Max'll just have to go on and ban those too.
