Have you made your minds up yet?

I haven't been on much in the last couple of days, but I see that my thread entitled "Operation Yellow Elephant" has been locked by Cogitation pending moderator review. I can't say I'm completely surprised by the action, as it was harsh and biting commentary toward a particular group of people both inside and outside this community, and I can see why some think-skinned people would consider it flaming. That was not my intention, which is why I made sure not to call anyone out specifically. I believe I stayed on the non-flaming side of the line, although I acknowledge that I'm probably pretty close to it.

Anyway, I'd like the thread reopened, but if you folks decide not to, I'd like an explanation as to why. I sincerely hope that when you make this decision, none of you decide to allow personal feelings about the subject matter influence your decision.

Thanks,
The Nazz

Come on, guys--how long does a moderator review take? I know you're busy, but I'd like a ruling on this. I'd like to resurrect the thread for obvious reasons, but I can't while it's locked, and I'm worried that if I do something similar in a new thread without a ruling, you'll deat me without warning. I'm just asking for some guidance here, and I don't think I'm out of line on it.

First, the thread is rather condencending. it can be viewed as flamebaiting and trolling.

second, let the mods work. they are volunteers and unlike some players, don't live on the NS forums.

third. Constant pestering of the Mods may lead to a ruling not in your favor. they may be getting other mod's opinions because it's rather boarder line.

Again, not a mod.

That's it? No explanation? Thanks a lot for a fair minded hearing.

Boy, with an attitude like this, I can't help but feel compelled to spend my time explaining to you the definitions of flamebaiting and trolling. If you honestly can't tell why your thread was against the rules, then maybe you need to take a break from the forums.

Just let the Mods work.

It takes time

I remember a case that took over a month for a ruling. That should prove that stuff takes time. Just wait, relax, and have a sip of.........Powerade!!!

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A MOD.

Well, Hack might not have the time but I'm always glad to help another player out.

Your thread was closed for flamebaiting and trolling. This could mean any, or even all, of the following:

A) That it was a thread designed specifically to insult people and get them to respond to defend themselves, leaving them open to further assaults.

B) That you were trying to start a flamewar.

C) That you were posting in this thread with the express intention of being insulting. It is all right to post that way about people who are not members of the community, but not about players.

Thinskinned people or not, as far as I recall all players have the right to not be treated in that fashion. Just my adjusted for inflation $1.
