What I do?

Why is everyone getting so upset and attacking me in this thread?

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=426268

I did not attack anyone on the forum. I did not flame anyone. I did not troll on anyone. In fact I did not address a single person nor did I direct my post at any group on the forums.

I was just making a sarcastic post about people who have been stabbing me in the back in real life. People I suspect of having ulterior motives for trying to befriend me.

I have never seen this on the forums before. What did I ever do to them?

Perhaps people remember all the random stuff you posted in your previous incarnations, and assumed you were serious now as you were then? The sarcastic aspect was invisible to me. I just read it as an ego thread.

Your presence here is more than a single post or a single thread. You have (presumably deliberately) established a certain reputation here. People assume you are continuing along the same lines when they read a post like this.

Since Cogitation locked the thread, I'll leave any rulings to him.

Gotta agree with the big man on that. I'm usually good with sarcasm, but if your thread is sarcasm, then it's pretty well hidden...

If you need to vent anger about something, I find the perfect place to do it is either by practicing my fighting on imagined opponents, or hitting a computer game and dealing some violence to sprites. Doing it on a forum might not help your reputation much, you know? Certainly not... that kind of venting. I try and keep clear of people either online or offline if I'm in 'that' sort of mood. Just a suggestion.

To Cog: After seeing people's posts in there about me, I prefer thread to stay locked if possible.

To Fris: How do I change that?

To Fris: How do I change that?

Maybe I can offer my two cents.

If you want to start afresh without the reputation of trolling, make a new user.

It's that simple.

Choose a name not associated with the old you, however.

How do I change that?
"How do I make everyone who hates me like me again?"

This is Moderation, not The Miss America Pageant. I don't think we can sum up the answer to World Peace and Universal Brotherhood in a nice, neat, two-paragraph package.

Sorry.
