Adding to polls without permission

Bahgum has unfortunately seen the need to complain in the moderation board. Our nation posted a thread titled "the right to smile' addressing an issue felt strongly by Bahgum in the UN board (this board is not the right place to discuss that issue), this thread had an accompanying poll.

Our complaint is that someone felt that they could, and did, add a question to that poll without asking Bahgums permission, or informing us that this had been done. The question attempted to mock the poll in a rather petulant manner. Not only is this rude, unless Bahgum is wrong (i'm not a techie so I may be) to edit someone elses thread requires moderator access. In this case it was an abuse of a position of trust which ought to be carried out with a behaviour befitting the trust of fellow nations. It is worrying to what extent this behaviour is going unnoticed.

Bahgum has twice asked for an apology in the quoted thread, or an explanation. This has not been forthcoming, and it was all that Bahgum wanted, the person involved is unidentified, apparently owning up is not in their nature.

In fact if asked beforehand, Bahgum would have considered adding the question, possibly re-worded. Again Bahgum really did not wish to go to the lengths of posting here and does not wish to fall out with other nations. We only ask for some politeness.

Often moderators and people passing by like to click on the thread in question in order to form there own opinions. :)

The Most Glorious Hack

Typically, polls are simply stripped from UN topics as they usually are unnecessary, much like in the Tech or Mod forum. Adding a tongue-in-cheek third option seemed a more humorous way to handle the situation, as well as a humorous way to state an opinion.

Aparently it failed on both accounts.

I apologise for upsetting your poll with an unwelcome joke.

Thank you Hack, apology accepted. :)

Just ask me next time, i'm happy to alter things if there is good reason.

Thank you both for being so civilised. Should either of you drop by the Strangers' Bar, your drinks are on the house.
