Myrmidonisia is being a pain.

It is at the very least annoying as all Hell and I'm debating whether or not to add him to my ignore list.

Since it is solely the responsibility of the mdoerators to make those judgement calls (and you can ask for mod only input), I'm not going to share my opinion based on the first page of posts in the thread.

But assuming you want your side of that debate to be heard, spend some time googling up more links. :) You won't be ignoring anybody, but you'll be spending time elsewhere and then can later post your opinion and explain why. When replying to somebody who seems really entrenched in an opinion, you might not directly respond to their _posts_, and just say, "This is my opinion: [one line summar]. Here is why ... [insert links and explain what they said and why you trust them]."

In short, I *do* believe based on the first page alone that you can turn that thread into something positive for you! :)

It's hard but I don't feel like giving up yet. He is not constructing his premise isn't in the right context so it is a bugger to debate. I'll 'crack' him eventually but he's a stubborn old nut (especially on this issue. I gave him a spanking in a similar thread and now he's coming back for more).

The force in his debate, weak is. [Nods sagely]

But he is not deliberately provoking anger, so it does not qualify as a rule breach.

Not that my opinion in these matters counts any more. But, I'm just speaking from experience.

I would have another go at exposing the flaws in his arguments, if he refuses to debate sensibly, just don't respond to his points in future debates.

TG's kung-fu is still strong.

As trolls go, this guy's not even one of those creepy little bastards that was popular a few years back. I wouldn't consider this actionable.
