Hoping that people are sodomised by a Koran seems a bit like trolling to me.

Goes beyond bad taste? You decide. :)

Eh, the actual comment itself wasn't trolling, the rest of the thread is in questionable taste though.

I think the first post was a little over the top and subsequent posts have shown signs of turning into a flame war.

If I told an American that they were going to have the Constitution stuck up their ass because I was anti-America, to me, that would be trolling. Obviously, such an act is degrading to note only the book or document in question but also the person/group/insert-your-own-noun here.

There are some lines you don't cross, and I think saying that terrorists should have the Koran stuck up their ass is crossing that line. Not because it's being said about terrorists but because you're basically telling anybody who believes in that book that it deserves that sort of treatment, that's disrespectful, especially in the case of the Koran in which the handling of it is of utmost important to its believers.

Its in poor taste, thats no doubt, but its not really offensive enough to be considered trolling.

Well done Fris.

The first post was a little trolly, the sodomy one was kept PG, his posts after that were over the edge.

Ironically, of course, apparently neither of the groups who allegedly "deserve" such treatment are overly fond of following the content of the respective documents, despite the huge stock they both put in their symbolic value. But that is not a matter for this thread.

And, excuse me if that seems bold, but if I was told by anyone that I deserved to get any written document inserted rectally, I would find that offensive. No matter if it is the Bible, the Koran or the Torah, or (points for originality!) Thomas Paine's "Age of Reason". :p
