I think that constitues as flaming.
I don't see how it could even be considered a flame. Texpunditistan was a lot closer to flaming...

I started a separate complaint as well... and not even based on that one post.
Spaam is a DSP member showing up in the NSCL thread and starting crap for no reason... and not just with me. He's being a troll.

Whoever is on duty, say so and I'll tone it down, but I didn't think that I was flaming (except maybe for the newb comments? - but they are!)... and when is gloating a crime?

He was campaigning for them and offerred to be one of their MPs due to the fact that they are in disarray. To me, that makes him a member.
That's not even the point. He's being a troll.

You admit to flamming knowingly, you have been obvoiously trolling and you say that you will "turn it down". If you knew you were wrong you should not have posted that way. I request that the moderators act upon the nature of the posts made, after all he is not a 'newb' who does not know better.
If I break your leg in a tackle, and turn to the ref to say, 'sorry I'll turn it down', does that avoid my being sin binned? No.

I have to go with Spaam, he never admitted to flamming. I did not wish for the thread to escalate to this sort of mud slinging.

Gloating: Specific types of gloating are considered warnable.
Need I say more? Or do you really think we are that forgetful that we can't remember what you posted five or so posts ago.
Try reading. The newb comments were the only things I could possibly think might possibly be counted as flaming. And I don't.

Let us await moderation then. If I am judged to be guilty of some breach of the rules, I will apologize and accept whatever penalty is imposed.

If Spaam was trolling, I didn't see it anywhere near the link provided. As for the Tex / Spaam feud, that's covered here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=424123). That also addressed "newb-as-flame".
I don't see anything else remotely actionable here. If there is any followup, use the linked thread above. This one is closed.
