Uncouth language? Yes. Uber flame? No.
Obnoxious use of sniper smilie? Yes. Death threat? Hardly.
" Now just roll up and die" isn't a threat, it's an invitation. Nobody has threatened you.
Nonetheless, I've pointed this newbie (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9001001&postcount=17) towards the rules. We'll see if he adapts.

A more appropriate example of a death threat is, when someone says "Over my dead body!", to respond with "That will be arranged."

Is it wrong to have a mild chuckle at that?

Only if you're the one who responded to the dead body comment and you define "chuckle" as "giggle insanely."

I'm fine then. Good good. :p
