I'm about fed up with this (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=8999206).

One of the general forum's decent posters is being unnecessarily targetted by the long arm of the law (aka - those incorrigible mods), and has been sadly deleted. They've given up the fight.

We can't let a good poster bite the dust! We must fight for the good!

So, sign up and fight for not only their right, but all the rights of the posters here to not be deleted without adequate reason!!

I am sad that DCR was deleted.

I hope the new DCD lives long and prospers.

But I wonder if those complaining about Mod oppression read this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=423319) explaining why DCR was deleted.

We all know offenses are cumulative. Drunk Commies did the Jesussaves puppet, which got Jesussaves deleted and DC forumbanned. During the ban DC, posted through a puppet. That got DC deleted.

As explained by the Mods (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8999074&postcount=9), drunk commies reborn was deleted for:
Minor warning for 'in before the lock' crap[http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread...18#post8577318] - || FORUMBANNED - 3 days - threatening post. http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.p...5&postcount=168
ALSO, DELETED - Combination of flamebait ( http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.p...07&postcount=98 ), more flamebait ( http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.p...7&postcount=138 ), and borderline trolling. http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=423189 (1 June 2005, 10:24 PM EDT)"

I'm not saying I agree with every part of this decision. But it can hardly be said DC or DCR was the victim of Mod persecution.

DCD would be wise to merely stay carefully within the rules, especially until the heat blows over.

You would think a political based website would have more freedom for us.. I mean come on its politics. The other day a fight broke out in the senate in some South America country, i forgot which one though.. Like it or not most debates over politics turn nasty, two human beings trying to impose their point of views on each other... yeah that normally isint good

The thing is, I know they use past offenses against you, but none of what DC did was all that serious...I mean, the "In before the lock" thing was dumb, but the rest of it is his style, and the way he has ALWAYS posted. He calls people on it when they attack him, and he can get down and dirty...but that comment about the daughter was NOT threatening. It was absurd, and he meant it that way.

Frankly, most of us have run afoul of the rules here and again...but cripes...we should get a break. This seemed to come out of nowhere, and DC HAS toned it down since Drunken Commies was deleted. It just seems weird that, months later, it's suddenly an issue again.

the pattern I've seen for Dobbs is:

or

dobbs flames back in a minor way (but still a flame)
dobbs reports to mods

I think the lesson is that if you're really visible, and you use a nation state name very similar to the previous one, when the mods are trying to figure out who to blow away, they look for the person with the bigger pile of previous incidents.

After a while, it accumulates, and you can sneeze at the wrong time, and they blow you away.

"We shall overcome, we shall overcome,
We shall overcome some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day

We shall all be free, we shall all be free,
We shall all be free some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day

We shall live in peace, we shall live in peace,
We shall live in peace some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day"

Down With Mod Tyranny!

I'm with you, Drunk Commies! If only because you're in trouble with the mods! We must outlaw mods!

(Of course this is only a :headbang: post which will get me an official warning for "spamming" or "flaming" or something. But if it does it will prove me right. So HA! :P)

We need to be able to impeach mods. Also, perhaps we should elect our own mods.

It would be a great shame to see such an amusing and talented debater leave these forums. Therefore, you have my full support, DC - good luck!

We need to be able to impeach mods. Also, perhaps we should elect our own mods. No! That would make it a democracy! And democracy leads to anarchy! And anarchy is the greatest evil! --cut from a speech by Elbridge Gerry of Mass. when he refused to sign the US Constitution, minus the smilie
