Fourm Medeator Problems

Fourm medators are a menace to our ability to post our fourms. They can shut them down at any instant. Now thats fine but that can cause many problems. If this is controled by a nation that is a socialist enthusiaste than they can shut down fourms that talk about capitalism. In otherwords these medators should not be allocated power because they can alter and close down what we say and thereby twist are words. :(
I think there should be a spelling mod. One who runs through bad posts with scissors, snipping out every misspelled word and grammatical error. Now THAT would be power...
They are given their powers on the strict rule that their own personally feelings on an issue don't come into it. They just enforce the rules.
Anyway, I don't want to spoil your conspiracy theories.

:D
Yes, but you might end up with posts like "I half a spelling chequer, it came with my pee see" and the like.
Of course, it would be funny if they were let loose in the foreign languages threads, and started changing all the words to what they looked like in English...

Welchmen's spelling is a menace to my ability to read his posts. Besides, moderators aren't here to force their views on us, they're here so we don't have to look through tons of spam to find posts worth reading, and so we can have sensible debates without flaming.

You generally don't have to worry about the mods censoring people they disagree with. If I've heard correctly, part of the reason a particular person is chosen is based on their ability to keep their views out of their moderating.
Also, not all the mods are of the same political alignment. Myrth's a socialist of some stripe if I remember correctly, Melkor Unchained is an objectivist, and I don't know about the others. But I'm fairly sure that if it were the case that one mod was censoring things, the oters would find out about it.

Thank you so much! I'd been looking everywhere for a decent online spell checker.

First off, in the ridiculously long time I've been posting here, I've never ever seen a moderator abuse his power. Not even those I neither like nor respect. I cannot say anything bad about any of the moderators when it comes to the job that they have done in the years I've watched.
Next, if one was going to bitch about the job the moderators are doing, one should learn how to do so in an appropriate manner. Spelling errors are acceptable, we all make mistakes, but to outrightly bitch about something as moronic as this is... repugnant.
The mere fact that you have a ridiculously low amount of posts means to me that you either A) are unfamiliar with the unparalleled job that the moderators here have done, or B) are a pathetic loser that has joined up a new nation just to bitch about something that you obviously know little to nothing about.
In the end, I will sum up by calling this an insipid and neanderthallic issue, and sending praise to the moderators for an excellent job well done.
---
insipid
adj 1: lacking taste or flavor or tang; "a bland diet"; "insipid hospital food"; "flavorless supermarket tomatoes"; "vapid beer"; "vapid tea" [syn: bland, flat, flavorless, flavourless, savorless, savourless, vapid] 2: lacking significance or impact; "an insipid novel" 3: lacking interest or significance; "an insipid personality"; "jejune novel" [syn: jejune] 4: not pleasing to the sense of taste [syn: tasteless]
neanderthallic
adj. 1. Of, having to do with, or resembling Neanderthals. 2. Slang. Crude, boorish, or slow-witted
re·pug·nant
adj. 1. Arousing disgust or aversion; offensive or repulsive: morally repugnant behavior. 2. Logic. Contradictory; inconsistent.
moronic
adj : having a mental age of between eight and twelve years
unparalleled
adj : radically distinctive and without equal; "he is alone in the field of microbiology"; "this theory is altogether alone in its penetration of the problem"; "Bach was unique in his handling of counterpoint"; "craftsmen whose skill is unequaled"; "unparalleled athletic ability"; "a breakdown of law unparalleled in our history" [syn: alone(p), unique, unequaled, unequalled]
[Edit] By request to play nice.

Excellent post Angelus, and thank you Fass for the online spell checker. It should be a mandatory part of every forum, thus making things a lot easier and more enjoyable to read. Now I'm a lurker, and I've recently started posting more(I'm sick so I really had nothing else to do anyways). And in all my time lurking, mods have done their jobs quite nicely. Melkor can get quite a bit riled up, but I've never seen him delete someone else's post without reason. I'm desperately hoping your post was of a sardonic nature.

From the FAQ:
It's free speech, so I can post whatever I like here, right?
Ahahahaha! Hahaha! Free speech! No, it's not. I run this web site, see, so you have to play by my rules. It's like my own Father Knows Best state.
This isn't a country, it's a privately owned website.

GMC has a point.
If you are at a football match, and for some reason, the people keep telling you that this is a rugby match, you had best play by the rules or go to another stadium.

In a way, it is. If you don't like it here, you are free to go. No one is demanding that you stay and play here. It is not as if you have NO OTHER CHOICE for an MMORPG...
