Am I missing something here, or does no one else know what crazy frog is either?

Your response wasn't that great either... http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8964727&postcount=2

Locked. Has he been causing trouble, elsewhere?

Actually, yeah, Tuesday Heights is correct. You do need to calm down, Steel Butterfly. It's not quite severe enough that I'm going to issue you a warning over (though I may be feeling lenient, right now), but you do have to calm down.

It's an annoying ringtone that on every ad break here in the UK, be thankful you don't know what it is. I hope you never hear it for the sake of your sanity.

While I'm not going to be some sort of rebel and go against mod advice, I'd like an explanation.

My response was sarcastic...is that illegal...no.

My response included the phrase "shut up," a phrase which is both harmless and direct. There was no reason for him to post nonsense like that. Him "shutting up" AKA not posting that again, is good advice.

My response called a spade a spade. He spammed, therefore he is a spammer.

I must say that I'm surprised I'm being told to calm down here. I'm not up in arms. I don't enjoy spam, and I told the spammer to stop and then reported it. I fail to see why I have to be friendly with someone standing in the way of a smoothly running message board. That being said, I hardly think that my response was so horrible it deserved a (abeit small) slap on the wrist.

Though I understand why you would respond to him, I do understand what Cogitation is saying. What you said could have been phrased in a better tone. Just because he may have warranted the label 'spammer' doesn't mean he deserves to be told so in such a manner. Again, I'm not saying I disagree with you SB, but I'm just saying that it could have been phrased better.

It doesn't bother me if I'm disagreed with or not, man. It could have been phrased better...sure...and I could have used my credit card and wired him a good $50 just to make sure his feelings weren't hurt. Since when has being nice been mandatory? I wasn't inappropriate, I played by the rules I've observed over my two-year plus stay at NS, and I ultimately, with the help of a mod, got the job done, stopping that instance of spam. If he cannot handle being called a spammer, and there's no proof that he even was offending by the title, then he shouldn't spam.

I belive fris has said this before... and I'll prolly butcher it... but here is my take on it...

It is next to impossible to read the post as you claim you intended. Whether you ment to ask nicely to shut up, or sarcastically, or imperitively, we cannot tell...

So I belive Cog err'ed on the side of caution (not saying he did mind you, that just the phrase)

Eh...good point...

Although if one had the desire, the meaning could be understood. I'm simply a sarcastic person...this thread's title is even small evidence of that.

I'll just wait for Cog's opinion on the matter.

I'm not sure if Cog knows I desire his return...
