Thread title change requested

***I'm actually asking on behalf of my delegate since I'm in the forums more often. If he needs to request this himself, I completely understand, just let me know.

Brown Stick Men has a UN thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=419000) going that he would like modified by one word. It currently reads Educational Freedom (Previously "Free Speech in the Classroom") on the forum list. Now that he has submitted this proposal, he wants to add "SUBMITTED" to the beginning of it so that readers are aware of it's availability to be voted upon. He has already modified the title in the initial post itself and would appreciate it if the official thread title could be changed as well. I know that only mods have this ability, so there fore I came to this forum. (If this should have been a Getting Help request or he just should have begun a new thread, please let me know. I am still learning my way around the finer details of forum usage, having read the abundant and informative stickies.)

Ordainarily, the thread originator would have to request the title change, as we can't be sure that any given poster is telling the truth in any given circumstance - this is in no way a reflection on the honesty of you or any other poster, but there are unscrupulous people out there who ruin things for the rest of us, and we prefer not to open loopholes for them to abuse the system through.

However, in this case the thread originator has provided sufficient evidence (in the form of the edited first post title) to suggest that this is all above board, so I'm able in good conscience to act upon your request.

But in future, requests of this nature should ideally come from the thread originator; it saves hassle on our part.

Thanks so much for the help and honest reply. I will let him know to ask himself for any other request he has in the future. (He just wasn't very familiar with the moderation forum and who even has the power to change titles.)

Have a nice day! :p
