Now what did I do? I was only posting a weird little news story. I wasn't trying to insult anybody. I can't beleive anybody would take offense to it. You'd have to be a complete moron to beleive that being a star trek fan makes you a pedophile.
I wasn't baiting Star Trek fans. I must protest the accusation against me.

Now, let's see. Thread title: "Are you a Trekkie? Have you registered under Megan's law yet?" Hmm, no, that could not possibly be construed as calling Trek fans pedophiles.
Apparently there's a correlation between being a Star Trek fan and being a pedophile.
Hmm, no, that could not possibly be construed as doing that either.... especiallly since as Riverlund pointed out, you ignored the nicely highlighted link below that that said the article was not correct.

It's just so absurd to beleive that being a Star Trek fan makes you a pedophile that I can't beleive anybody would take it seriously. It was meant as a joke, not as an insult. I just think maybe some people are too thin skinned.
EDIT: Notice that when someone pointed out that the article was refuted I didn't try to insult or offend him, just made it clear that I didn't regard it as a scientific fact, just a weird news story. If I was baiting I'd keep irritating my mark in hopes he'd get angry, no?
